Welcome to Reno Turkish Festival
6th Annual Reno Turkish Festival is sponsored and organized by the Sierra Foundation on Sunday, June 2nd 2013 at Wingfield Park.
The Turkish Festival was a huge success last year! More than 2000 people experienced Turkish Arts & Crafts, Calligraphy, Henna, Ebru (Water marbling), Anatolian corner, Folk dancing, Face painting & Cotton candy for kids, Turkish Adana kebab, Shish kebab, Baklava, Salads, Turkish coffee & tea and a musical performance by Ferhat Atli.
The festival immersed visitors in the sights and sounds of Turkey, old and new. At each set, craftsmen demonstrated ancient arts such as water marbling, calligraphy and performances of regional music, and dance. Turkish Folk Dance group also returned with their awe-inspiring performances throughout the day.
We expect the same effect this year, too!
