Welcome to Reno Turkish Festival

3rd Annual Reno Turkish Festival was sponsored and organized by the Sierra Foundation on Sunday, May 23th 2010 at Wingfield Park.
The Turkish Festival was a huge success! More than 1000 people experienced Turkish Arts & Crafts, Calligraphy, Henna, Ebru (Water marbling), Anatolian corner, Folk dancing, Face painting & Cotton candy for kids, Turkish Adana kebab, Shish kebab, Baklava, Salads,Turkish Icecream, Turkish coffee & tea and a musical performance by Mehmet Atay.
The festival immersed visitors in the sights and sounds of Turkey, old and new. At each set, craftsmen demonstrated ancient arts such as water marbling, calligraphy and performances of regional music, and dance. The Children Whirling Dervishes and Turkish Folk Dance group also returned with their awe-inspiring performances throughout the day.
